I wear flip flops but not old navy cheapies. I have croc Capris and I have Niki both were great for WDW> my Nikis are beat up so Ill get another before we go. I wear sundresses to the parks some days or to dinner, but more I wear capris and shorts.
One trip DH wore sneakers and we wound up having to go buy him new shoes his feet were so blistered. Moral- wear a shoe you have experienced some walking in a nd know how you feel. My dh doesnt wear sneakers or walking shoes so they caused an issue.
I only wore socks and sneakers. I love my Teva flip-flops, but they just don't provide me with enough support to be on my feet ALL day. My feet even got tired and hurt each night with my good sneakers on. You are just walking so much. Plus, with socks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you don't get nasty sweaty feet (at least I didn't).
I am not one to wear dresses much (especially casually),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but I didn't even let DD (who was 3.5) wear dresses without leggings or bike shorts underneath (she was in a major dress-wearing phase!). There is so much moving around that who knows where your skirt will wind up! Plus, the chafing thing.
A funny slightly OT story, but involving DW and shoes: My grandparents took the whole family for their 50th anniversary in 2003. DH and I had just gotten married the same summer. Anyway,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we were picked to be in the water scene of the backlot tour, so we had to wear those giant rainboots. They sprayed them with some sort of disinfectant between each person,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but OH MY GOSH they smelled worse than anything I have ever smelled. We had to quarantine our socks in a baggie when we got back to our hotel, but then since we were leaving straight for a Disney cruise,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we decided it was better to just ditch them than to stink up anything that might be remotely close to them! Moral of the story--if you plan on being picked as a volunteer, bring along an extra pair of socks!!!
Not a silly question at all. You've got to pick comfortable,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], light clothing and shoes with support. I kind of liked that I wasn't there in really hot, humid conditions. I got away very comfortably with capris and T-shirts. I would also wear shorts but nothing too short since like a pp said, there's a lot of getting in and out of rides. wore good walking shoes 90% of the time. I also had a pair of Nike flip flops that I've had forever with me under the stroller. I brought them for Kali River Rapids at AK knowing I'd be miserable with sopping wet tennis shoes. I ended up wearing the flip flops for the remainder of the day. It felt good to wear something else on my feet. So,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if you can,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], bring a pair of arch supporting flip flops for wet rides and a change of shoes. bring brand new shoes. If you're going to buy new shoes, get them early enough to break them in and get used to them.
