"It's all got a little bit of a twist to it," he adds. "We have a tendency to take things a little left of centre, just for fun. But we can do it."
As a 12-year-old, the Etobicoke native was first drawn to the music of KISS and the Sex Pistols. However, he found his way into the blues and was part of Blue Sneakers which hosted the notorious Grossman's Tavern blues jam for a decade.
Grisbrook is a long-time member of the band Midnite Walk,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and can be heard around town playing with the likes of Chuck Jackson, Gary Kendall, Chris Murphy, and the Niagara Rhythm Section.
He released his solo debut Blue Sneakers in 2007,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], exploring elements of blues,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], pop, rock, reggae and smooth jazz,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], abetted by sidemen like Downchild saxophonist Pat Carey and keyboardist Michael Fonfara.
Considering who he runs with,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it's not surprising that Grisbrook includes some frat boy jump blues,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and some David Wilcox-like bop. But his material works best when he moves past the clichés into contemporary blues/pop ballads like How Many Miles?, which wouldn't have been out of place on the Sanford-Townsend Band's classic 1977 debut.
"I don't classify my CD as a specific type of music. It's sort of like me, it's all over the map," he offers.

"I've been toying with the idea of doing favourite tunes with other artists," he reports. "I've never had that opportunity. I'm sort of trying to put a memory photo album together. at the Abbey Road Pub, 3200 Erin Mills Pkwy.
